About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Kristinestad PtX project, led by Koppö Energia Oy—a joint venture between Prime Capital AG and CPC Finland—aims to develop, build, and operate a large-scale renewable e-methanol production facility in Kristinestad, Finland, featuring a 200 MW alkaline electrolyser. It will produce approximately 258 kilotonnes of RFNBO hydrogen over a 10-year grant period, avoiding 1,763 kilotonnes of CO2e emissions, powered by 1.7 TWh of renewable electricity from PPAs with wind, solar, and hydro sources. The e-methanol will be delivered via pipeline to a nearby harbor for maritime and chemical use, while repurposing former power plant infrastructure and creating local jobs.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
