About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
LEILAC-1 is a pilot project that demonstrates direct separation technology for capturing process CO2 emissions in the cement industry. Hosted at the Heidelberg Materials plant in Lixhe, Belgium, it has been operational since 2019 and captures approximately 25,000 metric tons of CO2 per year, representing about 5% of a typical cement plant's process emissions. The technology provides a low-cost solution for CO2 capture without additional energy or capital expenditure beyond compression.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
