About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The LEILAC-2 project, led by LEILAC in partnership with Heidelberg Materials, Calix, and a European consortium, is constructing a demonstration facility integrated into Heidelberg Materials' Ennigerloh cement plant in Germany. The plant uses indirect calciner technology to capture up to 100,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, representing about 20% of the plant's process emissions. It aims to validate a scalable, low-cost CCUS solution for the cement industry, with commissioning expected in mid-2026.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
