About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The LEILAC-2 project is a demonstration of indirect calciner technology for carbon capture in cement production, developed by LEILAC in partnership with Heidelberg Materials and Calix. Initially planned for the Hanover cement plant, it has been relocated to the Ennigerloh cement plant in Germany due to the end of clinker production at Hanover. The facility aims to capture 100,000 metric tons of CO2 per year, representing 20% of the plant's process emissions, with construction underway and commissioning targeted for mid-2026.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
