About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Liquid Solar Fuel Production Demonstration Project, also known as the Liquid Sunshine Project, is a pilot initiative in China that integrates 10 MW of photovoltaic power with electrolysis for green hydrogen production and CO2 hydrogenation to synthesize methanol. Launched in 2020, it demonstrates a carbon-neutral approach to producing liquid solar fuels using renewable energy. The project produces 1,000 tons of methanol annually, serving as a model for scalable green fuel production to decarbonize the chemicals sector.
