About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The eMETHANOLxWSolution project demonstrates an innovative coastal tanker vessel powered by e-methanol using a dual-fuel engine and wind-assisted propulsion with foldable suction sails. It achieves 100% relative GHG emission avoidance compared to fossil fuel tankers, operating in the Baltic and North Sea regions. The project contributes to shipping decarbonization, with an estimated annual CO2e reduction of around 4,000 metric tons.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">70</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">19</argument></grok:render>
