About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Next.Gen.Wind aims to manufacture next-generation powertrains for multi-megawatt onshore and offshore wind turbines, focusing on higher power, efficiency, and integration while reducing critical raw materials and GHG emissions by 99.82% relative to the reference scenario. The project involves renewing and extending a green production factory in Germany with direct water access to handle heavy components exceeding 230 tonnes, including assembly and testing with specialized test-benches. It supports EU renewable targets, reduces fossil fuel dependence, and serves as a blueprint for scalable factories contributing to over 30 GW of wind deployment in the next decade.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
