About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Ningxia Baofeng Energy Green Methanol Project produces e-methanol using CO2 and electrolytic hydrogen generated from variable renewable energy sources, such as solar power. With a capacity of 100 MW, it generates 16 kt of hydrogen and 100 kt of methanol per year, aiming to replace high-emission fossil-based methanol production. Operational since 2022, it supports China's efforts to decarbonize the chemicals and plastics sector.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
