About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Norse Airborne Wind Energy Project (NAWEP) will build and operate one of the world’s first Airborne Wind Energy (AWE) arrays, consisting of at least 12 grid-connected devices generating 1.2 MW of renewable power. AWE technology uses airborne kites operating 200-500 meters above ground to access stronger, more stable winds, achieving approximately 50% higher capacity factors than conventional wind turbines. The project demonstrates commercial readiness, reliability, cost competitiveness, supply chain maturity, and low environmental impact.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
