About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

WM owns and operates a new renewable natural gas facility at its Okeechobee Landfill in Florida that captures landfill gas and converts it to pipeline-quality RNG. The project reduces Scope 1 methane emissions from WM's own landfill operations and supplies lower-carbon fuel for WM's fleet and external use as part of insetting. It is one of multiple WM-owned RNG facilities in the company's $1.6 billion investment program. Evidence: "The $78 million Okeechobee RNG Facility is expected to generate approximately 1.5 million MMBtu per year of RNG... potentially avoiding about 80,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually." — https://www.waste360.com/waste-to-energy/wm-opens-78-million-renewable-natural-gas-facility-in-okeechobee-florida
