About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Heidelberg Materials UK is constructing the UK's first full-scale carbon capture and storage facility at its Padeswood cement plant in North Wales as part of the HyNet North West CCUS project. The facility aims to capture approximately 800,000 tonnes of CO2 annually from cement production, eliminating nearly all of the plant's emissions. Construction began in late 2025, with commercial operations targeted for 2028.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
