About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Porthos is a collaborative carbon capture and storage (CCS) project led by the Port of Rotterdam Authority, Gasunie, and EBN to transport and store CO2 from industrial sources in the Rotterdam port area. The CO2 will be captured at industrial sites, transported via pipelines to depleted gas fields under the North Sea, and permanently stored, with an annual capacity of 2.5 million tonnes. Expected to become operational in mid-2026, it represents a key step in achieving the Netherlands' greenhouse gas reduction targets.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
