About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Project Greensand (pilot) is a pioneering carbon capture and storage (CCS) demonstration project in the Danish North Sea, aimed at proving the feasibility of offshore CO2 storage. It involved capturing CO2 from an industrial source in Belgium, transporting it by ship, and injecting it into the depleted Nini West oil reservoir. Completed in 2023, the pilot successfully stored approximately 4,100 tonnes of CO2, setting the stage for commercial-scale operations.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
