About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Puertollano Green Hydrogen Plant, developed by Iberdrola and Fertiberia in Puertollano, Spain, utilizes a 20 MW electrolyzer powered by a 100 MW solar photovoltaic plant to produce green hydrogen for low-carbon ammonia and fertilizers. Operational since 2022, it reduces natural gas consumption by over 10% in ammonia production and prevents significant CO2 emissions. Future expansions aim to reach a total electrolysis capacity of 220 MW by 2027.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
