About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Queensland Nitrates Renewable Hydrogen and Ammonia Project involves producing on-site renewable hydrogen via a 30 MW alkaline electrolyser to supply an existing ammonia/ammonium nitrate facility in Moura, Queensland, displacing natural gas-based ammonia purchases. The setup includes a liquid ammonia plant producing 20,000 tonnes per annum and hydrogen storage to manage renewable energy variability from hybrid wind and solar sources provided by Neoen Australia. The existing facility produces 235,000 tonnes of explosive-grade ammonium nitrate annually.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
