About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
OMV is building Europe's largest chemical recycling plant using patented continuous pyrolysis technology to process 200,000 tonnes of post-consumer plastics annually, converting them into circular feedstock to replace fossil resources. The project avoids nearly 2.2 million tonnes of CO2e over its first ten years compared to incineration or landfilling, achieving 115% relative GHG emission avoidance. It supports the circular economy, complements mechanical recycling, and contributes to EU decarbonization goals.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
