About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
GreenWave aims to build a green methanol production plant with a 100,000-tonnes/year capacity to provide a clean alternative fuel for the shipping sector, avoiding almost 150,000 tonnes of GHG emissions annually. The e-methanol is produced from green hydrogen and biogenic CO2, achieving a 96% relative GHG emission avoidance compared to marine diesel. The project scales up 150 MW alkaline electrolyser technology and integrated e-methanol production, supports grid balance, and promotes a circular economy through district heat and local water sourcing.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
