About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
First of a kind large-scale capture project on biomass-fired plants in Denmark, with plans to capture 280 ktCO2/yr at woodchip-fired Asnaes Power Station in Kalundborg, and around 150 ktCO2/yr at straw-fired Avedore Power Station in Greater Copenhagen. CO2 will be transported by truck to a CO2 export terminal in Kalundborg, and shipped and stored through Northern Lights transport and storage infrastructure in Norway. In 2023, the project was awarded a DKK 8.2 billion contract through the Danish Energy Agency CCUS fund.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
