About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

RUSAL's Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Smelter in Russia utilizes inert anode technology to produce primary aluminum at an industrial pilot scale, with each cell capable of 1 ton per day. This innovative electrolysis method releases oxygen instead of carbon dioxide, achieving near-zero direct greenhouse gas emissions and producing aluminum with a carbon footprint of less than 0.01 t CO2e per ton. Test production and deliveries began in 2021, with ongoing developments to improve efficiency and reduce costs ahead of potential full-scale implementation.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
