About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The STARFISH project aims to develop a pioneering offshore CO2 storage facility featuring a floating injection unit that receives CO2 directly from shuttle tankers and injects it into the Havstjerne deep saline aquifer for permanent sequestration. Phase 1 will enable storage of 42.75 million tonnes of CO2e over the first ten years of operation, achieving an absolute GHG emission avoidance of 42 million tonnes CO2e with 98% relative avoidance potential. It provides 'storage-as-a-service' to enhance Europe's CCS infrastructure and support net-zero goals.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
