About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Sierra BioFuels Plant, developed by Fulcrum BioEnergy, is a commercial-scale waste-to-fuels facility located near Reno, Nevada, USA. It utilizes gasification and Fischer-Tropsch technology to convert approximately 175,000 tons of municipal solid waste per year into about 11 million gallons of renewable low-carbon transportation fuels, including sustainable aviation fuel and diesel. The plant began operations in 2022 but shut down in 2024 amid the company's financial difficulties and subsequent bankruptcy.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
