About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The Silsbee Biorefinery, located in Silsbee, Texas, and operated by Gevo in partnership with South Hampton Resources, converts renewable isobutanol into sustainable aviation fuel (ATJ-SPK) and isooctane through dehydration, oligomerization, and hydrogenation processes. This facility produces drop-in alternative fuels that match conventional jet fuel properties, minimizing differences in physical and chemical characteristics. With a capacity of 265 kL per year, it has been operational since approximately 2020, contributing to low-carbon aviation solutions.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
