About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Slite CCS project by Heidelberg Materials aims to implement carbon capture and storage technology at the Cementa Slite cement plant in Sweden, capturing up to 1.8 million tons of CO2 annually and reducing national emissions by about 4%. The initiative seeks to achieve carbon-neutral cement production by 2030, with the facility targeted for operation by 2032. However, following the rejection of state co-financing in November 2025, the project has been paused, creating uncertainty about its continuation.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
