About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Heidelberg Materials is developing the Slite CCS project at its cement plant in Slite, Sweden, to capture and store up to 1.8 million tons of CO2 annually, aiming for net-zero carbon emissions in cement production by 2030. This would reduce Sweden's total CO2 emissions by approximately 4%. The project completed its feasibility study in 2022 but was paused in late 2025 due to lack of government funding support.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
