About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Solidia Whitehall project involves the production of low-carbon Solidia Cement at the LafargeHolcim Whitehall cement plant in Pennsylvania, USA, through a partnership between Solidia Technologies and LafargeHolcim. This innovative technology uses alternative binding materials and carbonation of calcium silicates to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30% during cement production and sequesters additional CO2 during the concrete curing process, achieving an overall carbon footprint reduction of up to 70% compared to traditional Portland cement concrete. Commercial production began in 2014 and expanded with the first U.S. commercial rollout in 2019.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
