About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Stegra is constructing a greenfield integrated steel plant in Boden, northern Sweden, to produce renewable hydrogen, green iron, and near-zero emission green steel using hydrogen-based direct reduction and fossil-free electricity. The facility will be Europe's largest green hydrogen plant and aims for full-scale production by 2027, with an initial capacity scaling to 5 million tonnes of steel annually. It is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by over 7 million tonnes per year when fully operational, supporting EU decarbonization efforts and creating thousands of jobs.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
