About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Saoirse is a first-of-a-kind 5 MW wave energy development located 4 kilometres offshore from County Clare, Ireland, deploying the CorPack, a pre-commercial wave energy array using CorPower Ocean WEC technology. The project will generate 15 GWh per annum of renewable electricity, equivalent to the annual demand of around 4,200 homes, displacing 27,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent over the first ten years of operation. It aims to prove the bankability of wave energy, accelerate its rollout, and contribute to the EU Green Deal targets.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
