About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Transpac is an industrial demonstrator of a new generation of very high-temperature heat pumps developed by EDF R&D and Dalkia Froid Solutions, in collaboration with Armines and installed at Wepa Greenfield's paper factory in Château-Thierry, France. It recovers waste heat from steam extraction during the papermaking process to preheat dryer feed air to 140°C, achieving a coefficient of performance (COP) over 3.5 from a 70°C source. This innovation significantly reduces CO2 emissions, estimated at about 1,000 metric tons per year, by replacing fossil fuel-based heating systems.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
