Transpac is a high-temperature heat pump elaborated by EDF, Armines and Dalkia, in collaboration with the papermaker Wepa Greenfield. By recovering waste heat from vapour extraction during the papermaking process, the heat pump can heat dryer feed air to 140 C with a COP of over 3.5, from a source at 70 C.
