About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

VärmlandsMetanol AB is planning a commercial-scale biomass-to-methanol production plant in Hagfors, Sweden, utilizing forest residues as feedstock. The project employs HTW gasification technology followed by methanol synthesis and incorporates CCUS using physical absorption to capture emissions. With an annual capacity of approximately 100,000 tons of fuel-grade bio-methanol, it targets sustainable fuel production in the chemicals and plastics sector.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
