About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Vulcanol Plant, part of the George Olah Renewable Methanol Plant operated by Carbon Recycling International in Grindavik, Iceland, produces renewable e-methanol from captured CO2 emissions from a nearby geothermal power plant and green hydrogen generated via electrolysis using renewable energy. Branded as Vulcanol, this methanol serves as a low-carbon alternative fuel for chemicals and transportation sectors. The facility, operational since 2011, demonstrates pioneering technology for CO2 utilization and has a current production capacity of approximately 4,000 metric tons of methanol per year.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
