About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Transition of WM's collection fleet to compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles with increasing allocation of self-produced RNG to fuel consumption, achieving 70% alternative fuel vehicles early and 93% RNG allocation in 2025. This directly reduces Scope 1 fleet emissions through fuel switching using RNG from WM's own landfill gas projects (insetting). Evidence: "In 2025, we: Allocated renewable natural gas to 93% of our alternative fuel fleet’s fuel consumption... Accomplished our objective for 70% of our collection fleet to be alternative fuel vehicles a year early" — https://sustainability.wm.com/energy-is-renewable/
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
