About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Yara Renewable Hydrogen Plant at Herøya in Porsgrunn, Norway, is a 24 MW electrolysis facility inaugurated in June 2024, producing green hydrogen from renewable hydropower to decarbonize ammonia production. It enables the production of low-carbon ammonia by replacing natural gas-based hydrogen, with an expected annual CO2 reduction of 41,000 metric tons. The project is part of Yara's initiative to fully shift 0.5 million tons per year of ammonia production to green methods by 2026-2028, in partnership with Statkraft and Aker Clean Hydrogen.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
