140 SAF projects announced, almost all stalled
The problem is not technology but financial structuring. Insetting creates the demand signals and long-term offtake that projects need.

There were well over 140 SAF projects announced globally in 2025, yet almost all of them stalled: the demand is too low and their contracts too short. The problem is not technology but financial structuring.
Our thesis however is that insetting and inset credits can be used as market-based infrastructure and financing instrument. Instead of funding offsets outside the value chain, insetting enables direct investments in scope 3 reductions by corporate buyers. In turn creating demand signals and long-term offtake agreements, making SAF projects more interesting investments, without over-relying on subsidies and policy directives.
