Huge congratulations to Lynn Loo and the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation (GCMD) team on launching the Fund for Energy Efficiency Technologies (FEET)! This is an impressive milestone and a major step forward for maritime decarbonization.

FEET’s blended, unsecured financing structure is a genuine innovation: it finally links efficiency retrofits to verifiable fuel and regulatory savings, opening a new tier of decarbonization investment below fuel-switching and newbuilds.

At Carbon3, we see this as deeply complementary. High-confidence, sensor-verified efficiency gains create measurable, auditable reductions that can be fractionalized and shared across supply chains as inset credits. This ensures broader Scope 3 alignment and co-investment across value chains.

It is exciting to see GCMD pushing the frontier, and we’re cheering them on as FEET scales across the industry.
